Camp First Cathedral is a six-week summer enrichment camp that will be held on the campus of The First Cathedral at 1151 Blue Hills Avenue in Bloomfield, CT.  The camp runs from June 27-August 5, 2016, between the hours of 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, with before/aftercare available.

Camp First Cathedral is committed to providing opportunities for individual growth and personal development of our community youth. This program is focused on increasing self-esteem, self-confidence, interpersonal relationship skills as well as broadening the spiritual foundation of each camper.  

The camp curriculum provides daily academic development, leadership development, artistic and sports components. Camp First Cathedral is structured for children ages 3-13. 

Camp First Cathedral is committed to providing a well trained and enthusiastic full-time staff as well as staff volunteers who will also be available to meet the needs of each participant.  

Each camper will receive a “Camp First Cathedral” t-shirt, daily breakfast, lunch and snacks.  But more importantly, each camper will leave the camp with an invaluable collection of experiences, knowledge and new relationships that will leave a lasting impression on their lives. This impression will leave our youth with the understanding that they are the leaders of the present and the future.

THE MISSION OF CAMP FIRST CATHEDRAL IS TO ENRICH THE SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL LIFE OF ITS YOUTH THROUGH STRUCTURED PROGRAMMING IN A CHRIST-CENTERED ENVIRONMENT. 

 

The Objectives of Camp First Cathedral are:


1.    To inspire Christian growth and development.

2.    To create a safe, secure and nurturing environment that fosters personal growth.

3.    To provide exposure to character shaping activities and experiences.

4.    To stimulate the creative and explorative nature of our youth.

5.    To increase self-esteem, self-confidence, and interpersonal relationship skills.

My child benefited from this camp through increasing their maturity.  My child has character as a result of this camp. I would recommend this camp for any child as you will see a difference being made by the teachers and staff of this camp.  Not only is it a camp that your child will have fun, but its a camp that will cause your child to be a tremendous student and have character day by day.
